Bigger Lag...

So this whole "blogging" gig isn't as easy to keep up with as I first thought it would be. But, alas, as is the case with many bright ideas, this, too, seemed to falter. I tend to have a penchant for such endeavors, and those all seem to fall by the wayside. Oh well!

I will use being uber-busy with grad school as an excuse, although in reality it isn't true. Plus, nobody reads this but me, so I utilize it (however infrequently) for my own peace of mind. I will try to commit to "blogging" (21st century-speak for "journaling"...how 1982, right??), however inane it may be.

Restless minds lead to restless fingers...

Lag...

Between vacations and the start of school, there has been little in the way of "free time," or at least when it comes to blogging. All is well: friends are beautiful, family is crazy (in a good way), and life as I know it is back in the swing of things.

It's exciting to think that in less than 7 weeks, the citizens of our country will vote to elect our new leader. Hopefully, it will be the right choice.

Please vote! No matter where you are, or even who you vote for (well, sort of)....just vote!
Your vote DOES count.

Also, and this is completely unrelated, tell the people that are special in your life how much you care for them; how much you love them. Time is precious, and you don't know what tomorrow will bring. Take care of yourself, and those around you.

Reunion!

So I am getting very excited to see many of my friends in less than a month down in beautiful Florida. I can't believe it's been almost 15 months since graduation. In many respects, it feels like just yesterday, but in other respects, it definitely feels like ages since we were all together. It's bittersweet, and yes--it is all a part of growing up. Unfortunately, we can't be together all the time like we were in school. But thank goodness for modern technology! With the click of a button, we are instantly connected whether it's across town or across the globe.

For all of my friends in different parts if the country and abroad- pleas continue to do great work, be safe, and have an awesome time. I pray every day for your continued health and safety.

Life is busy, busy, busy for me, and I can't wait for my trips back home and to Florida!

Tired and Sleepy Eyes

For some reason, I have been exhausted the last few days. I'm sure it's a blend of being uber-busy at work, crazy hectic at school, and generally not getting enough sleep at night. Furthermore, my exercise regimen has been sporadic at best, and I really think that that has a lot to do with my fatigue! I would love to work out every day, but there never seems to be enough hours in the day! Plus, my summer class is nearly half-way finished, which is a good thing...because it leads me that much closer to going back home for a while in mid-August and going to Florida! There is a light at the end of the tunnel...

Things have been going well at the internship. I think my main project has reached its summit, so now I'm working on other tasks "as assigned." I like the break in pace; it allows me to regroup and focus on the next few weeks. After tomorrow, I'll only have 4 more to go! It's crazy to think how quickly 7 weeks can go by. (For that matter, it's crazy to think that 14 months have gone by since graduation! We're getting old...)

It is true...we are all in such a hurry to grow up, but, if given the chance, I'd love to have the freedoms and liberties I had as a child. Not that I would ever want to be 10 or 15 or even 18 again, but I would LOVE to have (virtually) no responsibilities; no bills, no fears about money or the economy or the war, and no major worries in general. I now look back on my childhood years and wish that it didn't fly by so fast!! Such is life.

Also, I'm attempting to avoid caffeine. It's day two of "detox," and I'm not enjoying it! Sleepy eyes, indeed.

First Blog

So I'm not very good at all this 'technology stuff,' but I figured this is as close to my own (personal) social networking as I get.

I figured I'd try it out. See where it goes. I'm interested to see if anyone happens to stumble upon this blog. No real reason for the title. You may think it to be a bit of a paradox (if you know me), but I think it's rather fitting...

I hope to blog at least once a week; I still check the 'main blog' created by AJ every other day or so, and that is my primary blog spot.

Things are going well with me; the summer is in full-swing. Between the internship and class, I have a full plate. But I appreciate being busy! It keeps me on my toes.

OK- that's all for now. Not very exciting (milquetoast, indeed). But I think this is more for my enjoyment than anyone else's. Feel free, however, to post a comment (or two). That would be cool.

Later-
B.
